The Wrongstars

The Wrongstars first got together in early 2006, David and James where running a successful music studio in Essex which included band rehearsal areas and recording/ production facilities and took a booking one day for a recording session, Paul Southgate (Era) was the booking and he came along and done the session, He then booked up for a few more, It was obvious that There seem to be a good music relationship developing and it could be developed further, Deciding between them to make an EP, there were so many ideas that it soon turned into a album.

Luke (Mooretime) was introduced through a friend while doing a DJ session in the studio, His lyrics were so good that we wanted him to work on some hip hop tracks with us, Whilst in the studio with Paul, Luke turned up, we all got chatting and decided that Luke should come in on the album and at that point thought this is the four Wrongstars.

Working hard on the album for many months when Luke introduced his brother Joe (Esq), He also had some great lyrics and they just had to be used on the album, so Joe joined as well.

The album Beats Rhymes and Conflicts was released in August 2008, on most major internet sites and was in shops like HMV and done quite well, unfortunately we parted with Paul which now leaves us with just the four of us.
At present we are not signed to any label, but have released tracks on Leeroy Thornhills (Prodigy) label Electric Tastebuds

The Wrongstars (Mooretime, DirtyD, Bass Invada and ESQ) are giving out a stack of tracks from their 2008 long player, Beats, Rhymes and Conflicts. This was a huge seller and ended up being stocked in major chains like W H Smith and HMV.
